Transfer gold from horde to alliance

Hey lads,
Does anyone know of a way to transfer gold from a horde character to an alliance character? Will the auction house "trick" work when the two toons are on servers in different battle groups? (tarren mill - silvermoon)

I boosted an alliance toon to 110 and if possible would like to tranfer my gold.

Back in the days i put some linecloth or other crap into the neutral AH (like in gatgetzan) for the amout of gold i want to transfer and then buy it on the other faction. But you lose some % because of the AH transaction cost.
But I dont know if the neutral AH is even in the game nowadays lol.

I also need to transfer gold from horde to alliance. Need to send 1 million to alliance to buy the 5 million mount lol.
If you have two accounts, you can create one AH sale for the value you need to transfer and buy it in the other faction, as all AHs are grouped in one. I think the current AH cut is 5% loss. The neutral AH was 15% loss, but it is gone when the AHs merged. You can also ask a friend you REALLY trust to help you on that transfer if you only have 1 account.

You can also create a new char, give the money you want (i think 1 million is the limit now?) and use faction character transfer service to send that character to the opposite faction.

I don't see other ways to transfer money, besides also the battle pet sales, but it can take a while for you to sell the expensive pet.

Nowadays every AH is neutral. But you can't buy auctions from your account if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I tried this back in vanilla on a PVE server the first time I make a Horde character, and I had to ask a friend in the Alliance for help to buy my stuff in Booty Bay. I could transfer gold and mats like this, and yes there was a fee.

As a side note - are there any other vanilla warlocks here who remember constantly getting summon requests when questing in STV/Tanaris/Winterspring by low level characters who (presumably) wanted to use the neutral AH for transferring cash? Worst were the ones who expected you to go find the two additional players needed to perform the spell.
I did end up leaving a level 15 Paladin surrounded by ~lvl35ish raptors in STV just because I happened to be grouped up and was really sick of the constant whispers. I also heard tales of warlocks summoning people off cliffs or using Unending Breath to summon people deep underwater in the hope they would drown.
